By the time real Japanese Integra Type R’s turn 25, my Civic will easily have been paid off. So of course I’m day dreaming like anyone else would do and wondered, “How expensive would ITR’s be when they become legally ready to import?”

As of now they look to be 6k-8k all in, which isn’t horrid but still expensive for a car that will be stolen. Nonetheless, someone needs to talk some sense into me and stop me from dreaming.

If you move south of the Raritan your chances of it being stolen go down exponentially.

considering the JDM hasa better looking front end than the USDM ITR, AND that 6-8K is substantially cheaper than they are typically had for over here in the US, I say you buy it and instead of shipping it over you store it in Japan until it can be brought over.

They'll probably go down a bit, then go back up once they hit 25. The earliest ones I've seen are December '95, which would mean the end of 2020 or early 2021. I will say I've literally had dreams about owning one and it getting stolen.

Insurance on it would be astronomical, it’d get stolen, and once demand goes up at 25 year mark, prices will skyrocket.
